Background
We've recently become aware of an issue some Access users are experiencing where an error messages comes up any time they try to submit the assignment or access the Task Guide. The error message references a missing object library. We've looked into this, and while we're unsure of the root cause, it appears certain object library's are entirely missing from the affected computers, which causes the code to error out, preventing Access assignments from being submitted.
Resolution
- Click the Windows button on the taskbar or the Windows key on your keyboard and type "Add or Remove", then click "Add or Remove Programs"
- Scroll down to "Microsoft 365 Apps for Business" (This name may differ based on the version of Office you have)
- Click Modify
- In this new window, choose Online Repair
- This should restore the missing object libraries
- Open your Access assignment. You should now be able to submit your assignment and access the Task Guide
